Construction and Application of a Scale for Evaluating the Performance of Physical Education Teachers

Abstract

The scientific and technological progress witnessed by the modern era is the main pillar of this progress and development is the human being with his enormous energies and capabilities, and the study of physical education is one of these fields that has received a large share of this development due to its effective role in development in its various dimensions, as the education teacher is one of the most prominent axes through which educational and educational goals are achieved due to his great impact in raising students and preparing them in a way that makes them able to serve their country. Hence, the importance of the research is evident through the construction and standardization of a scale for evaluating the performance of physical education teachers during the lesson, which enables us to identify the level and identify its strengths and weaknesses, and thus diagnose and correct errors to improve the teacher's performance and develop it in a way that serves the educational process. The research problem is that the physical education lesson faces major challenges to keep pace with the continuous development of the information revolution, but it was noted that the teacher evaluation form currently adopted by supervisors is a form whose paragraphs do not cover all aspects of the evaluation of teachers' performance during the physical education lesson, which negatively affects the teacher's performance. In order to do justice to the teacher and give him a fair evaluation of his performance during the lesson, the researcher decided to build a scale to evaluate the performance of physical education teachers in light of the teaching skills they perform during the lesson to raise this level in a way that serves the educational process and contributes to its development. The aim of the research is to identify the level of performance of male and female physical education teachers during the lesson. The researcher concluded: -
