The research aims to develop a play program to develop some basic motor skills in kindergarten children, as well as to identify the effect of a play program on developing some basic motor skills in kindergarten children.
The research community was defined as kindergarten children (4-5 years old), male and female, in the center of Babil Governorate for the year 2024-2025. The main experimental sample was represented by the children of Al-Amani Kindergarten, after they were randomly selected from the original research community by lottery. The sample numbered (50) male and female children, distributed into two groups: (28) children in group (A), and (22) children in group (B), totaling (50) children, both male and female. The researcher used appropriate research devices and tools for the research procedures, followed by statistical processing, presentation, and discussion of the results. The researcher reached several conclusions, the most important of which was that the use of a play program directly and significantly impacted the effectiveness of the children's performance, which led to the development of the basic motor skills that were the subject of the research. In addition, the results achieved by the tests demonstrated the validity of the educational units prepared by the researcher through the clear development of basic motor skills.
