According to the researcher’s knowledge, all scientific studies in Iraq have not previously addressed the issue of sports investment due to its novelty on the one hand and the lack of researchers dealing with the field of sports economics in Iraq on the other hand, as there must be an appropriate and modern economic system that contributes to the development of the sports movement in all its sports and economic aspects. And social. The researcher also did not find a law pertaining to sports investment in neighboring countries because their investment laws have covered a wide range of investment fields and sectors, including the youth and sports sector. The aim of the research is to:
- Identify the reality of sports investment opportunities in Iraq.
- Identify the reality of sports infrastructure in Iraq.
- Identify some of the legislation and laws related to encouraging sports investment in Iraq. 4. Comparing the reality of sports investment in Iraq with some international experiences. 5. Achieving the construction of a sports investment map in Iraq. The most important conclusions were:
1- Investment Law No. (13) of 2006, as amended, is the legislative backbone for the development and growth of the Iraqi economy through investment.
2- The spread of administrative and financial corruption, which disrupts the role of sports investment in achieving the goals of sports institutions and their economic growth.
3- Weak investment culture in society, especially sports investment culture. 4- Weak performance of sports departments in carrying out investment work due to lack of experience in this field.
5- Weak mechanisms for promoting sports investment opportunities provided by relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports or investment bodies.
