Abstract

Plyometric training is a widely used method in the sports field. Various plyometric exercises have become popular as essential training methods for developing and enhancing various types of strength. The importance of this research lies in the use of modern plyometric training methods, which rely on building training programs based on a scientific basis to develop strength characterized by speed and employ exercises to serve the set goal while minimizing effort and time. The researcher noted that many students lack the characteristic of speed-related strength. This, in turn, is reflected in their inability to perform skills, given its effective role in implementing all skills, as it is an essential characteristic. Furthermore, many researchers and trainers are not interested in using plyometric training. Therefore, the researcher decided to address this problem. The researcher used an experimental method with a two-group equivalent design. The research sample consisted of second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Qadisiyah University. The researcher also conducted a pre-test for members of both groups. The curriculum, prepared by the researcher, was then applied to the members of the experimental group. At the same time, the control group used the same curriculum as the subject teacher. The researcher concluded that the curriculum plays a significant role in improving the speed-related strength of the arm, trunk, and leg muscles.
