This research aims to determine the effect of a training program based on coordination exercises on improving balance and motor coordination in children with autism. The researcher used an experimental method with a single group and pre- and post-tests to suit the nature and objectives of the research. The research sample consisted of eight children with autism, aged 4–7 years. A training program was implemented, comprising a set of coordination exercises designed to suit the children's abilities and developmental characteristics. The program lasted for 12 weeks, with three sessions per week.
The researchers used appropriate tests to measure balance and motor coordination. They concluded that the coordination exercises contribute positively to improving balance and motor coordination in children with autism spectrum disorder. They recommended the importance of incorporating such rehabilitation programs into educational and therapeutic plans for this group and conducting similar studies with diverse age groups and samples.
