Effect of Using the Directed Imagination Strategy in Creative Thinking and Learning Skill of the Forward Hand Jump on Ground Movement Mat Device for Students

Abstract

The research aims to identify the strategy of guided imagination in creative thinking and learning the skill of the front handspring jump on the floor movements mat for artistic gymnastics students and to identify the preference for the control and experimental groups, as the experimental method was used due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The experiment was conducted on third-year students in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, College of Basic Education, University of Diyala for the academic year (2024-2023) and on a sample of 20 students. The sample was divided into two groups randomly (A, B), where the control group consisted of 10 students and the experimental group consisted of 10 students. Each group followed its own context and method, as the followed and experimental method took a period of (8 weeks) at a rate of one educational unit per week. The following conclusions were reached: - The strategy of guided imagination in creative thinking had a motivating and effective impact on learning the skill of hand jumping on the floor movement mat device. - The organized presentation of pictures and clips specific to the skill is positive for the complete perception of the skill's performance before implementing it.
