The effect of suggested exercises on developing some functional variables and achieving the 100-meter freestyle
Abstract
The aim of the research is to know the effect of proposed exercises that include different land and water training tools and means in developing the performance of the 100m freestyle and raising the efficiency of the heart rate, vital capacity and FEV1 by applying different resistances in the water against the body’s creeping forward and on land through the body’s resistance and different tools and the extent of their effect and the level of achievement in the effectiveness. 100m freestyle swimming students. For the purpose of achieving the goal of the research, the researcher selected (10) of the students who were regularly enrolled in the training units for the swimming professor and coach The students of the second stage swimming intentionally, and they were divided into two groups, the first experimental (5) swimmers as an experimental group, and the second (5) swimmers as a control group. Both groups performed the sections of the training curriculum prepared by their trainer in all its details, except that the experimental group used the proposed exercises within the vocabulary of the daily training unit. The researcher began conducting the test before and after the research period, which lasted for 8 weeks, with three training units per week. The results achieved were statistically analyzed for both groups, where the researcher found that the 100-meter freestyle swimming time had improved in the group that used the suggested exercises in the training, in addition to raising the efficiency. Functional variables, so the researcher recommended introducing various tools during training and emphasizing attention to land and water training with assistive means and their advantages
