Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the endurance of arm strength performance and the offensive and defensive performance levels among young sabre fencing athletes. The researcher utilized a descriptive approach with a correlational design, which was deemed appropriate for the nature of the study. A purposive sample of 12 players from the Iraqi national youth fencing team was selected. A physical test was employed to assess arm strength endurance, along with a performance analysis form to evaluate both offensive and defensive performance. The findings revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between arm strength endurance and both offensive and defensive performance. Based on these results, the researcher recommended focusing on enhancing strength endurance in the training programs for young fencers.
