Athletic cognitive motivation and its relationship to acquire of some offensive handball skills for female students

Abstract

This research aims to identify the level of Athletic cognitive motivation and its relationship to acquire of some offensive handball skills in female students. The researcher used the descriptive method for its suitability to the nature of the study. The sample was purposively selected from second-year intermediate school students for the academic year (2024-2025), and they numbered 50 female students. The researcher used the Cognitive-Motor Motivation Scale prepared by Al-Badrani (2012). For data processing and results extraction, the researcher used the SPSS statistical package, which showed that the intermediate school students had a good level of Athletic cognitive motivation for learning and acquisition the studied skills. The researcher recommended the adoption of appropriate methods that stimulate motivation to achieve better learning in teaching other handball skills and other sports.
