Abstract

This research aims to identify the reality of attractive leadership among volleyball coaches, the prevailing organizational culture among them, and the nature of the relationship between the two from the perspective of players participating in the Premier League. The importance of this study stems from the significance of attractive leadership as a modern leadership style capable of influencing player behavior, enhancing their motivation, and building a positive organizational environment that contributes to achieving team goals and raising the level of athletic performance. Furthermore, organizational culture plays a pivotal role in establishing values of cooperation, belonging, and commitment within sports clubs.

The problem addressed in this study stems from the researcher's observation of the current state of volleyball and their review of previous literature and studies. These observations revealed a disparity in the leadership practices of coaches and in the nature of the prevailing organizational culture within clubs. Furthermore, the study highlighted the limited number of studies examining the relationship between charismatic leadership and organizational culture in the Iraqi sports environment, particularly among volleyball coaches. This necessitated conducting this research.

To achieve the research objectives, a descriptive methodology was employed, utilizing both survey and correlational approaches, as these were best suited to the nature of the problem. The research population consisted of players participating in the Iraqi Premier Volleyball League, and a purposive, census-based sample was selected to fulfill the research objectives. Two scales, one measuring charismatic leadership and the other organizational culture, were used to measure these two factors. The psychometric properties of these scales were verified, ensuring their validity, reliability, and objectivity.

The study's conclusions and recommendations aim to contribute to developing the leadership performance of volleyball coaches and strengthening organizational culture within sports clubs, thereby enhancing athletic performance and achievement.
