Abstract

 The importance of the research is evident in examining some of the abilities and capabilities that a leader or someone who holds an administrative position in Iraqi sports federations may have, and then employing them to predict their leadership skill in a way that enables those interested in the field of management or preparing leaders to take these variables into consideration to choose the successful, skilled leader who will lead the institution. Or unite to excellence. The research aims to identify the reality of crisis management and leadership skills among members of the Iraqi National Athletics Federation. The research community included members of the administrative bodies of the sub-federations of athletics and federation employees, numbering (265) individuals. The researcher used the crisis management scale, which consists of (30) items distributed over five areas, and the leadership skills scale. Which consists of (32) items, the highest score for the scale was (160), the lowest score was (32), and the hypothetical mean for the scale was (96) scores. The researcher concluded: The study sample members’ estimates of the reality of crisis management are that most of the problems that lead to the occurrence of crises occur from During ineffective management, with the members of that management not possessing leadership skills that enable them to confront these crises. And failure to deal properly with crisis indicators.
