Building the Referee Signals Scale Used in Basketball

Abstract

- Building a cognitive scale in the referee signals used in the basketball game for students of the second stage, In the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences University of Mosul.

- Identify the level of knowledge of the referee signals circulating, in the game of basketball for students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences University of Mosul.

- The researchers used the descriptive approach in the appropriate survey method and the nature of the research, and the research community included students of the second stage of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (University of Mosul), numbering (385) students, and (225 )  students were used as a sample for research, and the researchers prepared a scale of characteristics referee signals used in basketball, which is the final component of (32 ) In order to reach the results and objectives of the research, the researchers used the following statistical means (percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, torsion coefficient, mode, correlation coefficient, discrimination coefficient, ease coefficient, difficulty coefficient.

- The researchers found the following results:

- Building a cognitive scale for the referee signals used in the game of basketball, by meeting all the scientific characteristics and conditions for building standards.

- Setting standard levels for the scale of referee signals used in the game of basketball for students of the second stage, College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Mosul.

- In the light of the findings, it was recommended that:

- The possibility of benefiting from the new measurement tool, as a measurement method that helps those in charge of the educational process in assessing the cognitive level of students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
