Abstract

The present study investigates the impact of a training program based on self-engineering on enhancing intrinsic motivation and improving dribbling skills among female futsal students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Babylon. An experimental design was employed with two groups (experimental and control), using pre- and post-tests on a randomly selected sample of 30 students. The instruments included the Self-Engineering Scale, the Intrinsic Motivation Scale, and a standardized dribbling test, with data analyzed through SPSS. Findings revealed significant improvements in the experimental group regarding both intrinsic motivation and dribbling performance, highlighting the effectiveness of integrating psychological and skill-based approaches in sports training. The study recommends incorporating such programs into academic curricula in Iraqi universities to foster better performance in team sports.
