The research aimed to develop a motor learning program based on practice variation and supported by video analysis, and to determine its effect on generalizing motor programs and learning basic badminton skills among female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Ashur University. The experimental method—specifically a single-group design with pre- and post-tests—was employed due to its suitability for the nature of the research problem; the study sample was limited to first-year female students enrolled in the morning program who were studying badminton. The research population consisted of 30 female students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Ashur University (morning program), while the research sample comprised 10 female students. Skill tests were employed to measure the accuracy of the short low serve, the long high serve, and the high forehand stroke, following the verification of the tests' scientific foundations—namely validity, reliability, and objectivity—which are essential criteria for standardizing educational and sports tests. The results revealed statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test scores, favoring the post-test across all skill variables under study, thereby demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed instructional program. This outcome is attributed to the fact that varied practice contributes to the improvement and generalization of motor program formation; furthermore, the use of analytical video provides visual feedback that enhances technical performance and movement accuracy in badminton.
