Abstract

The cognitive apprenticeship strategy and numbered heads are among the teaching strategies that may be suitable and have a positive impact on teaching football skills. The research problem stems from the multiplicity and diversity of teaching strategies without knowing the appropriate strategy for the age group and how to study and apply it to students and benefit from it in learning and applying skills. The aim of the research is to conduct a comparative study of the cognitive apprenticeship strategy and numbered heads in teaching the dribbling and shooting skills in futsal to first-year female students. The research population consisted of 60 first-year female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. (60) students were randomly selected from them as the research sample, which consisted of two experimental groups, each consisting of 30 students. The researcher used a group experimental design. The study used a pre-test and post-test as equivalents. After homogenizing the sample, each group implemented its own educational program. The first experimental group applied the cognitive apprenticeship strategy, while the second introductory group applied the numbered heads strategy (30 students per group). The educational program lasted six weeks and included two learning units per week for each group.

The researcher concluded that the application of the cognitive apprenticeship and numbered heads strategies proved effective in teaching the first-year female students in the experimental group the skills of dribbling and shooting in futsal.
